Meaningful Quote

Got this quote in a chain email today, which pretty well sums up my personal approach to life:

We do not stop playing because we grow old;
we grow old because we stop playing.

Help Finding Music

I'm looking for help. My son is discovering and liking Classic Rock and 80's Metal. There's a couple CD's I've thought of lately that I think he'd enjoy, and thinking about them, I'd like to add them to my CD collection as well (I used to have them on cassette, and either can't find the cassettes, or haven't looked into all the cross-connections that would be required to extract the audio, and burn it out to CD). I started out casually looking, but now I'm looking more and more, and can't find these on CD anywhere. Has anyone seen any of the following on CD? If you happen to see them, please buy them immediately; you can just assume I'll pay you back.

Lucky Lottery Winner

Let this be a warning to you all:  This seems to be the latest fraud slithering around the web.  I received the following email (3x!!!) this morning.  Apparently, I've won the (Dutch?) lottery for 500,000 euros!!! Of course, it'll take a few legal documents, and probably some filing fees, but who would let that stand in the way of a 500,000 euro prize?  Does anyone actually fall for these things?

Some Other Good Local Restaurants

Some people might think I eat out too much, but I just found the website of another local establishment, and thought I'd share the links to some local places:

Really - The Best Christmas Pageant Ever!!

Yeah - I know... it sounds like typical parent rhetoric, but last December, my son was in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, at the Chapel Street Players, in Newark.  It was neat to see him in real, live, professional theater, playing for a week to a packed house each night. We were so proud of him.

And yes, that was the actual title of the show, based on a 1972 book by the same name by Barbara Robinson in 1972 - although in all bragging, it was a doubly appropriate name.

I mention this here and now, as I clean up my computer desktop, which had a link to the photo show kindly shared by another member of the cast and crew. Thank you for sharing the pictures, and congratulations again to the cast and crew, and especially the director, Ms. Sue DeVito - it was a great show!
